The smell of death
Snapping of the cord
Not quite sure if the rarity grading is correct on this one, but it's the first time ever this EP crosses my way. I naturally had a bad feeling when clicking the "buy it now" button, a Thrash band from 1993? How much oldschool can they sound? Really not that much... at least the A-side "The smell of death" is a brutal grinding Thrasher with slightly strange modern groove but also Death Metal alike sound (maybe like DVC) and songstructure, especially these doublebass inferno parts. I wished the shitty groove parts wouldn't be there, then there's just the more or less HC alike hate-voice of Darrell Tinsley left. Not everyone's cup of beer I'm sure but very hateful and barely bearable. "Snapping of the cord" is the track that makes this EP leaving a bitter aftertaste on everyone's tongue. The groove parts are dominating here and not as this would be enough, nooooo, Darrell's trying to copy KORN several times. Terrible Gejaule...
For those into the modern Thrash/Groove shit interesting, but those are not the regulary readers of this site. So leave it where it is and ignore it may it be rare or not, it's a waste of money!
