Judgement Day
Midnight Flight
The Blade
This baby gets harder and harder to find nowadays but it still offers pure Heavy Metal in the best US tradition. With "Judgement Day" it starts typically US Metal like. Squealing guitars, hard driving early Power Metal but the vocals remind me more to a Poser band. "Midnight Flight" has a doomy feeling, although it's not Doom Metal. A slower track with more Hard Rock rhythm and theatralic guitars at the end while "The Blade" starts like a ballad, but soon it is jumping over to become dark and wicked, a nasty anthem with a mystic touch that ends with King Diamond like dirges. The guitar solo cuts straight to your heart...that's pure Metal! I've to say, the whole guitar work is excellent in all of those tracks, but those "sweet" vocals do not fit that well to Odin's style (except in "The Blade"). It still remains an early US Metal jewel on vinyl, a nice piece to collect with even nasty content. And "The Blade" is a track you must have heard once in your life.
