Quite a late piece of more or less untypical and rather modern NWOBHM offers this great piece of vinyl recorded already in March 1983. In contrary to the most of the post-NWOBHM EP's Lyadrive did not concentrate on pure power which would have been the smartest idea of corpse to survive that time. Both tracks offer quite faster rockin' british Metal with a very few commercial hints like f.e. "Anytime" with the costantly use of keyboards which do not affect the sound at all or making it sounding poppy. The most enjoyable track is once again the B-side "White dress", musically in the same faster midtempo Metal like "Anytime" but the refrain offers partly epic tendencies and the interesting songwriting from a forward rockin' main part of the song to an almost silent break in the end of the refrain. Another reason of the pleasure to listen to Lyadrive is besides the very talented musicianship Nick Jones' clear voice. I've no doubts that this EP will find alot of lovers easily.
