The first of 3 notoriously rare promo compilations from the Italian indie label Dischi Noi, all recorded in England and possibly aimed for the British market. Some of the tracks from this series were compiled into the commercially available Italian Rock Invasion comp LP the same year. NOTE: I've tagged the tracks that also appear on the regular and easily-available "Italian Rock Invasion" comp as 'non-exclusive', even if they technically might have appeared on this obscurity a few months earlier... |

Rock power ballad.- CROSSBONES - The Snowman
Classy, pounding Melodic Metal that's only almost on par with their later s/t LP on the same label.
Twangy indie-rock/new wave.- WITCH HUNTERS - Possessed
NOT to be confused with the other Italian WITCH HUNTERS who released the "Cry For The Moon" LP in 1991, this is ever so slightly superior, trotting PowerThrash with wild (parhaps a bit too wild) screaming vocals and nicey guitar harmonies. Different recording from the version on the 1986 "Tales Of Witchhunters" demo.

Gothic pop/rock a la The Cure.
Mellow indie pop.- BLACK SWAN - Roads
A real cool surprise - think later Maiden at their most epic! Would love to learn more about these guys. (no releation to a now-active, Italian "power metal" band w/ the same name).

Lame pop schmallad.
