*sigh* I guess if we are to build the ultimate Great Guide To Forgotten Old Heavy Metal Vinyl, we would eventually have to deal with Belgium's THE ROGERS...
The title track is best described as Venom or
Black Virgin on a surf/spy-movie trip, with the exact same um-pah um-pah drum beat for 5+ minutes. And an "Auld Lang Syne" harmony solo. Less interesting (yeah, imagine that) is the B-side "Girls On The Run", which I will only bother describing as schoolyard Hard Rock, with a much too long guitar solo in the middle.
Is it Kuster- or
Barbarian-bad you wonder? No, not quite but it's still a very typical early Belgian HM EP in that it's very primitive, o.t.t. and more than a little bit silly. To put it this way: Everything that worked for
White Night on their EP, completely failed for The Rogers. With the added details of a kült pic sleeve and corny band-name you do however have all the ingredients needed for a fun 'Turkey-Metal' item so all ye fellow fans of this genre will know what to do.
