FUTURELESS was a turn-of-the-millennium Thrash Metal act from Thessaloniki, allegedly active between 1997 to 2001 during which time they released at least one track-track demo CDr entitled “In Whitechapel” (2000). At the time of the studio recording, ranks included Bill Ladopoulos (vocals – DIARY OF SECRETS), Tolis Vatselis (guitars) and George Ioakimidis (bass), while drums were provided by CRYSTAL TEARS’s Christafis Tantanozis on a session basis.

Stylistically, FUTURELESS sound a bit like a blend between post-2000 KREATOR and melodic Death Metal (more late-period DEATH than the Gothenburg variety). Straight-forward thrashing meets melodic lead guitar and a handful of catchier phrases throughout the tracks. The sneering vocals of Bill Ladopoulos also bear obvious similarities to those of Mille Petrozza.

Except for a few compilation features, nothing has been heard of the band since “In Whitechapel” and the band supposedly split up in 2001.

Compilation appearances:
* Underground Darkness Vol. 1 [CDr, Comp: Sirrah Productions, 2000]
* The Warrior Vol. 3 [CD/CDr, Comp: Underground Tapes, ?]
