Ceremony

CEREMONY was an early incarnation of the more well-known Athenian one-man Black Metal unit DARKEST OATH, formed by Jim “Necrochrist” Angelinas. Along with Jim Necrochrist (vocals, bass), CEREMONY also included at one point in time Vasilis/Bill (guitars), Nick Peristeris (drums) and Panagiotis (keyboards) / T. Stathathos (?) (keyboards) – although some of them might’ve been session musicians, the background data is a bit sketchy. Anyway, the name was changed to DARKEST OATH in 1993, and the rest is history.

We haven’t been able to locate CEREMONY’s sole one-track + outro tape simply entitled “Promo Tape” (1993), but since it comprises “Ceremonial Whispers of the Ancient Goat” – a song that would end up in the DARKEST OATH discography later the same year – one would have to assume it is done in roughly the same style. However, it would still be interesting to compare it with later recordings, so if you are in the possession of this rare tape, we would very much appreciate it being shared.
