Brazen Faced

Kalamata (Peloponnese)
Heavy Metal
Active:
1995-2001

Formed in Kalamata and active roughly between 1995-2001, BRAZEN FACED started out as a classic Heavy Metal band influenced by titans such as BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST. While quite a raw affair, their self-titled debut demo “Brazen Faced” (1997) showed promise in its Sabbathian sluggishness and received positive reviews in the Greek press. However, by the time of their second release “Shades of Occult Fear” (1998) – this time on CDr – it was obvious that a change in style was in the making. This metamorphosis came to its full fruitation on the band’s final demo CDr “Demo 2000” (2000), with BRAZEN FACED jumping on the then-current trend of aggressive Groove/Thrash/Melo-Death. For the traditionalists, it might be worth checking out the self-titled tape, but you’ve been forewarned about their later material…
