British Style Heavy Metal/Doom From USA

Post by Cauldron_Born »

Hello,

Howie Bentley from Cauldron Born here. My new project is Briton Rites, traditional British style Doom in the vein of early Black Sabbath and Witchfinder General, with Phil Swanson(Hour Of 13) on vocals. We have a song out on HEAVY magazine's compilation, METAL CRUSADE Volume 18. The issue is due to hit the newstands June 24(Wednesday).

sounds very promising! that first riff reminded me a lot of Dreaming on the 'II' album btw.

the German doom band Dreaming, although the similarity really is just in that one riff.

edit. I just understood your question :D I still mean the band though, on the album titled 'II'.

Sounds great, looking forward to more.

I was hoping for a vocalist with high pitched vocals. Would've fit the music too I think. Still, Phil is good too.

I don't know, the sound doesn't really fit, it sounds more along the lines of Sir Hedgehog than the influences mentioned.

NP with First Friday Beer in hand. I can't help comparing you to Hour Of 13 because of Phil's vocals and I wouldn't say it's as instantly worshipable as them, but as a whole it's hard not to love this kind of stuff. Looking forward to hear more..
