Sanguinaria from Arequipa was a Thrash Metal band a la Sepultura, formed in 1990 with Manuel "Mañuco" Valdivia on guitars, Luis "Thana" Velazquez on guitars, Nacho Heresi on drums and Whalo Escobedo on bass, playing covers of Slayer, Violent Force and Exodus. David joined on vocals and debuted at the Ataque Demoledor show (14/09/91). Giovanni replaced Diego and they played at the Genocidio Metal IV festival with Anagathon, Fosa Comun, Accion Violenta, etc. Giovanni was also replaced by Renzo "Anti" Delgado on vocals.

They recorded a live demo called Aggressive Desolation in 1992 (Rereleased on split CD with Féretro and Legado de Sangre by Necronausea Recs in 2021). They later changed the lineup and style to Heavy Metal and have recorded 5 albums until now.
