Nexo was an obscure Heavy Metal band formed in 1984 by the guitar hero Carlos Kakutani. In the short history of the band Carlos played with Cesar Noruega on bass, Patrick Kalout and later Percy Villafuerte on vocals and Henry Woodman, Carlos Mendoza and Hugo Gálvez on drums. The style of the band was very influenced by Van Halen. They had songs like "Cruz de Hierro" and "Represión Criminal". In 1986 they played with Orgus and Headwork in the Federico Villarreal university. In 1987 Nexo participated in the No Professional Rock Contest in the No Helden discotheque. They had a good score in the beginning but they later retired, since Carlos joined the popular rock band Danai & Pateandolatas. After that the band split up and Carlos recorded a song of Nexo on the LP of Danai. In the 90's he joined the mythic band Ñu from Spain.
