Letal was formed in 1986 with Augusto "Pato" Araújo on guitars, Victor Jiménez on bass and Elmer Torres on drums. In 1987 Nano Vascones (Almas Inmortales) joined on vocals, Danilo Raggio replaced Victor on bass, David Sobrevilla replaced Elmer on drums and Harold Coleridge on keyboards. They were playing a more commercial style like Kiss, Motley Crüe and AC/DC and record songs like "Caminante Solitario", "Nuestro Honor", "Entrégalo" etc. They first played in the Concha Acustica del Campo de Marte with Sacra and Orgus, then in the Charlotte Discotheque with Sentencia and in the Tarot pub in Miraflores. Until 1990 other drummers played in the band, like Chuto de Romaña and Patrick Newman. The band returned in 2013 as a cover band.
