Headwork was one of the first Heavy/Speed Metal bands from Perú.
They were formed in 1984 by Andrés Echevarría (Guitars), Jano Torres (Vocals), Winston Blacker (Bass) and Johnny Gonzales (Drums), later replaced by Oscar Gonzales.
They started playing covers of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept, Quiet Riot, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.
They also recorded two songs in Gerald Paz studio: "Estados Alterados" and "Espectros Metálicos", which got airplay on radio Doble Nueve.
They did gigs at the Concha Acustica from Salazar Park in Miraflores (now Larcomar) with bands like Óxido and Pax, also playing in discos, auditoriums and festivals.
In 1986 they played their last show - the Gran Concierto Frente al Mar in the Magdalena stadium with Masacre, Orgus, Tortura, etc. That year they split up. Jano and Johnny formed Sacra and Andrés formed Sótano. At the moment he is still playing with his new band Lyrón.
