Anagathon was one of the first Death/Thrash Metal bands from Arequipa. They were formed in 1990 by Kike on drums, Paul on guitars, Carlos Sacra on vocals and guitars and Angel Scooby on bass and made their debut the same year in the Genocidio Metal II with Feretro, Cuarto Cerrado, Legado de Sangre, etc. After that Kike left the band and was replaced by Edgar.

In 1991 they played at the Genocidio Metal III show and released a rehearsal (rereleased on tape by Black Breath Recs in 2016) with Angel on vocals and bass and Carlos only on guitars. The band split up in 1992. Carlos and Paul formed the Death Metal band Imperio del Averno in 1994 and later Carlos and Angel played in Sanguinaria. Now Carlos play in his own band Legion Sacra.
