"Tied to the trax" has wrongly been ignored and forgotten for years, it's a real 80s gem! But the band made it really hard work enjoying their songs, providing us with a mixture of classic Heavy Metal, Speed, Thrash as well as loads of breaks and shifting pace. So when I first listened to the album, it seemed confusing and hectic, despite a great production, incredible riffing and an outstanding vocalist. But with every repeat, the songs got better and better. Highlights to me are the opening and closing songs "Tied to the trax" / "Deep into the red" and Valley of the shadow of death" / "Purgatory (shattered vision)", with the last song being an incredibly Metal anthem. Only "Screamin' machine" with it's unspeakable screams is a black-out. Apart from that, "Tied to the trax" is another MUST-HAVE for every serious US-Metal collector!
Highlights sind dabei das Eröffnungsduo "Tied to the trax" / "Deep into the red" sowie das Abschlussduo "Valley of the shadow of death" / "Purgatory (shattered vision)", wobei letzterer Song eine absolute Überhymne darstellt. Davon abgesehen: ein weiteres MUST-HAVE in jeder vernünftigen US-Metal-Sammlung!
