One Take No Dubs MLP 1982
Label: Neat Records #: NEAT 25 Country: England
Info: Why doesn't one want to take any dubs? The missing comma caused me much confusion for years, but as you probably figured out long before me this is 4 bands from the Neat-stable performing 1 song each live in studio (without overdubs).

(bold = exclusive track / normal = non-exclusive track / italic = non-metal)

Side A:
1. ALIEN - Could Have Done Better
The only band on here who never had a release out of their own and it's a crying shame judging by this awesome melodic NWOBHM-anthem in the style of WOLF or AXIS.
2. AVENGER - Hot'n'Heavy Express
Raw & rumbling Heavy Metal in it's most primeval form. Good but far from their best track. Later featured on their "Too Wild to Tame - The Anthology" 2CD from 2002.

Side B:
1. BLACK ROSE - Knocked Out
A fast, archetypical NWOBHM-scorcher outweighing anything on their later releases. (for a moment there I thought I was listening to Swedish newbies Enforcer..)
2. HELLANBACH - All Systems Go
Like the previous track a fast one, sounding a whole lot heavier than the band's other material. Later featured on " The Big H: The Hellanbach Anthology" 2CD from 2002.
