Monochrome LP 1990
Label: Mighty Sheffield Records #: COM 003 Country: England
Info: A very British, very 1990-sounding release - apart from the Metal content of course. Obviously a label focused on promoting local talent, mostly in the form of compilations. This one plus Rubberoid should be the only ones featuring any HM though.
My copy included a 6-page promo-pack for the young'uns INNOCENT CHILD - a quite interresting and incredibly overhyped read. Of course I had to take the opportunity to preserve this material for posterity: 1 2 3 4 5 6.

CONTENT
(bold = exclusive track / normal = non-exclusive track / italic = non-metal)

Side A:
1. BEDLAM CHOIR - Find My Way
This is late 80's/early 90's Underground UK Steel at its absolute finest! Pure Power with killer harmonies and great hooks, reminding of Wild Pussy, Masque and even ShockSplit at times.
2. THE WARHOLS - Bring 'em Back
  Melodic alternative hard rock.
3. THE PRALINES - Carry On
Garage rock w/ lots of fuzz.
4. NOTHING IN PARTICULAR - Too Young
  Likeable electro-pop.
5. PSYCHO TERRORISTS - The Church Of The Holy Virus
  Cool electro/dub/industrial.
6. SEPULCHRE - The Tree Cracked
  Tribal post-punk.
7. INNOCENT CHILD - Satisfied
  Kulty Kid-Metal formed around a 13 and 15 yo brother and sister. Decent-for-what-it-is Ebony-style post-NWOBHM.

Side B:
1. CHASING THE RAYS - Strange Fascination
  Synth-pop.
2. THE CORPSE GRINDERS - New World
  New Wave/punk with a ska/dub-beat.
3. THE MUZZLE CLUB - Slade
  Brit-punky alternative rock.
4. INNOCENT CHILD - Burnout
Apparently used as an introduction to a hot-rod stadium in South Africa if the promo-material linked above is to be believed. (Did they also play in Sun City one wonders?). It's the stronger of their 2 efforts, great meaty trad-Metal a la Priest or Grim Reaper, though maybe the hype and phenomena in itself makes it more interesting than it really is?
5. PETER JONES - Universal Beat
  Ambient electro instrumental.
6. SPINOUT - Headfull Of Fire
  Ultra-lo-fi/experimental, droning alterno-psyche.
7. POISONOUS LITTLE CREATURES - Fallen Angel
  Indie rock.
