The reason why PENTAGRAM was cancelled in France is that their singer didn't have a valid passport to leave the States.
Same thing few years ago... Why can't they sort these things out before they go to airport?
I've got a ticket to Hells Pleasure too.. Shit, this doesn't sound too good. I really hope they get mr. Liebling's passport business sorted out this time....
Well, I'm going to Hell's Pleasure too. Cross fingers... I would like to get a ticket for the show in Tilburg, but first I have to see an official statement about the Hellfest-cancellation. Can't find any news about it on the net. Not on the Hellfest-page, not on Blabbermouth, not on the band's myspace, not on the Pentagram-members' myspace-addresses, not on the 013-page, not on the Hell's Pleasure-page... Very weird...

Heard several stories concerning the Hellfest-cancellation. Most people told me that Bobby was arrested because he had some crack in his possession.

Well, apart from the Pentagram-fiasco, Hellfest was pretty legendary. Incredible gigs from Saint Vitus (although they fucked up during "Born Too Late"), Voïvod (too short!), Amebix (goosebumps!), Heaven & Hell, Killing Joke, Wolves In The Throne Room, Electric Wizard, Cathedral, Repulsion, Kylesa, Ufomammut, Entombed, Misfits, Mötley Crüe, Down, Eyehategod, Aura Noir, Cro-Mags, The Business, Europe, Napalm Death and Brutal Truth at least made the pain somewhat bearable... The great atmosphere, perfect weather, a bar with Guinness, the usual festival-decadence and the non-stop partying did the rest...

Hot news! According to the Terrorizer-site Bobby Liebling missed his flight to Europe because he forgot his teeth in his apartment...

This story is getting sadder and sadder...

hm, sounds like a joke to me. I'd really like a clarification on this. from what I heard Bobby is not allowed to leave the country because of his criminal record, period. now that would be bad old news for Hell's Pleasure and all the other European dates that have recently been announced. I have some hope though because booking so many dates seems like the silliest thing ever if you know you can't play them. so here's to hoping that everybody involved in booking them knows more than us mere mortals.

And then was sent away from the airport. Hope he finds some other solution too this problem before his next flight to Europe. Again. Not confirmed rumours.
I know what happened and it's quite funny.. We had to piece all the stories together. He lost his teeth, his teeth were found, Bobby wasn't around to collect them though and his teeth were forwarded to Hellfest. So he gets to the airport and is ready to fly, and wants to take a piss just before take-off. They wont let him, a big scene is made, eventually he's searched as routine and the crack is found. So now he's in jail and his teeth are in France.

Uh hu..
This must be the least surprising news of the year. Still, I couldn't keep from getting just a little bit excited about that rumoured gig in Copenhagen. Crap.

I just checked the web page of the venue hosting the upcoming Trouble+Pentagram show in Copenhagen, to see if it had been canceled.

Apparently the site has been hacked by islamists.

Many of you are probably heading to Balingen already. I plan to go to Paranoid Open Air fest (it was called Metal Mania in the past years), but I'm not really sure now. Yesterday I went to see Pestilence and came home with a lot of mixed feelings. a few pluses: Pestilence were not even that bad, although they are far from old glory and I exchanged a few words with Mameli.
minuses: a lot more of them ... but better be ignored, else ...

Yeah, I know what you mean about Pestilence. I've seen them on Hellfest, and I couldn't say it was bad - on the contrary even -, but it was certainly not the Pestilence of old. I don't like the drummer's style, the vocals are too 'guttural', guitars tuned too low...everything reeks of 'modern brOOtal death metal'. And if there is one thing I hate... I didn't expect it to be legendary though, because that comeback album is very, veeerrry weak!!!

what you said + the sound was awful, but that's usual in the place gig was held, and Patrick communicate everything in forced, marketing manner - I kinda got used to the new album (after 4th listen !?) ... at least I saw 'em. What I don't found quite possible, is that he told me he plans to release GESTALT album in next two, three years, as well as a tour. Gotta see this ... to believe it.

It is his own Metal/jazz-fusion/whatever project he blueprinted after Pestilence disbanded. I don't think anybody outside his circle ever heard anything. May not be your cup of tea, however.

From the HELLS PLEASURE site:

PENTAGRAM (US) AT THE HELL'S PLEASURE METALFEST

Due to all the rumors after the canceled gig at the Hellfest, we contacted the Pentagram management.
They confirmed, that Pentagram will play the Hell's Pleasure gig !
Their cancelation of the Hellfest-gig was owed to unfortunate circumstances. At least there is no 1000000% guarantee that they'll play...but we are confident

There's still definately hope there!!
