Hahaha...

I knew that it was only a matter of time before this cover was listed here.

I guess that my wait is finally over...

You mean my All Time Favourite German Schlager-Gods? The band most likely to be responsible for German 80's Metal's HEAVY bias towards bombastic choruses and overall OTT antics??

(I seriously collect anything w/ this band so if anyone has colored vinyls, pic-discs, rare singles, t-shirts etc.. pm me!)
Isn't this band called Genghis Khan?
I remember my parents having the album when I was young, for the Olympics ..right?
The cover was a browny orangey colour with them on the front from what I can remember?
Ah, remember them from the Eurovision Song Contest.

What a look! What a song!
That's some fucked up shit right there and even though I doubt that this group graces many of our play lists you can't help but admire the charm of them.

What's funny is trying to figure out how that drawing is a representation of the album title.

It doesn't represent the title , or indeed the style of the music on the record either. Possibly because this was the reissue by Mausoleum rather than the original uk cover, although that was kinda crappy too. So crappy in fact, that when i posted this album on my blog recently, i used this cover over the original.

Actually it was in your blog that I saw it, and of course I know that it doesn't represent the title. I was just saying that it was funny to try to make sense out of it, not that it actually has any.

I guess that the band just thought the drawing was "cool" or something...

My eyes are burning.

(I just have to take record covers like bandphotos, that was just the style back then.)

Well, "chicle" means bubblegum in Spanish, but they decided to go NWOBHM style and spelled it "Chykle". So besides being an awful cover is a very stupid name too.
About the sound, I think I only actually heard some Madam's track and it was boring cheesy Heavy/Hard Rock, and as far as I now Chykle is also that kind of band (there were a lot like that in the 80s). Haven't heard Neron though. They're listed as Power Metal in the M-A, but we know how's that site with genres.

I kinda liked the Neron cover, reminds me of late '50's early '60's jazz artwork.
Maybe that's what they were going for?
