I wondered that because it didn't looked like man, when i saw some pics of Holy Dragons(good band).Thanx for clearing things out.The question is why she chose a man's nickname?stormspell wrote:I havent seen the video for awhile, but I think this girl plays in Holy Dragons now inder the pseudonim Criss Caine.Fucking Åmål wrote:The guitarist(the girl on the right) wears a Coroner T-Shirt!
Legion are superb maybe better than Konsul(all tracks rip).
Tsernoje Delo are some kind of strange band.Although it has strange dooomy guitars and the characteristical Soviet sound but it has many saxophone parts which i find it curious, cool and unique in mid-80's metal history. And the vocals are spaced out(i love them although i know many people will not like it)!!!!!
Really a strange band considering the fact that the lyrics also seem to be dark and evil.

I dont know, they all are with pseudonyms there. Well, except for Komaroff which is his real surname I think.Fucking Åmål wrote:I wondered that because it didn't looked like man, when i saw some pics of Holy Dragons(good band).Thanx for clearing things out.The question is why she chose a man's nickname?stormspell wrote:I havent seen the video for awhile, but I think this girl plays in Holy Dragons now inder the pseudonim Criss Caine.
I guess she got bored to be mistaken for a man, coz on the new album booklet she let her boobie being shown

FRONT "Metallizatsija" single from 1986 (don't know if it's a single or demo, but advertised as a single on the Metalrus forum)... credits to Metalrus! I haven't been able to listen more than some minutes yet so any comments are appreciated.

Most likely a demo tape. Russian bands had a tendency to refer to tape releases as "ep"s or "album"s. Great recording btw. Their most VOIVODian moment I'd say. My fave is still "Der Wasser Der Köln" though.Metalipeiklo wrote:FRONT "Metallizatsija" single from 1986 (don't know if it's a single or demo, but advertised as a single on the Metalrus forum)... credits to Metalrus! Here's one of those 101% RUSSKI-sounding bands I totally worship. Gotta love that "We're Not Gonna Take It" cover, as well as the amazing band-name: MAGISTER!
Wonderfully, beautifully stale & disciplined Rok for working class comrades!

Wow that Magister is very great and strange.Very good production. Are you sure this was released as a demo?
Jonas thanx for the Dykuma demo. The Piligrimas demo is the same mp3 you uploaded before? If yes they kick ass.
Anyone know more about the 80's Lithuanian band Trylika the one track of them is very great and aggressive HM.
Sovjet Metal rules i really can't get enough!

Well.TRYLIKA recorded 3 or 4 songs so called Demo, but its almost impossible to find it because main man Arunas Died 5 or 6 years ago,so this song I uploaded it's the only legacy of this band(Ripped from Radio show 1988).TRYLIKA (this word means 13) was one of the first Speed/HM bands in Lithuania. They even used corpse paint at shows. Here I have one old image from Nemunas magazine back from 1989.

Also I uploaded a bit AC/DC sounding band ROKAI(3 songs, 1988 year)

In the compilation you uploaded TRYLIKA is the best band out of all.Too bad we will never be able to hear them. These fotos look awesome.Thanx a lot for this article. The spokesman of the radioshow sounds hilarious when pronouncing in the beginning the words ''Grupo pe TRYLIKA''.lunaboy wrote:Well.TRYLIKA recorded 3 or 4 songs so called Demo, but its almost impossible to find it because main man Arunas Died 5 or 6 years ago,so this song I uploaded it's the only legacy of this band(Ripped from Radio show 1988).TRYLIKA (this word means 13) was one of the first Speed/HM bands in Lithuania. They even used corpse paint at shows. Here I have one old image from Nemunas magazine back from 1989.

Thank you for the MAGISTER demo. Despite their cool name, i personally don't find their music to be equally good. Firstly, it starts off with a barely listenable ballad. Not good for a metal/HR band. Secondly, the music is based on keyboards at an unacceptable degree for me. Thirdly, the nerve is missing. I only liked the second track which had some fine guitar melodies. Also the cover of TS is embarrassing, but i never liked the original anyway. Good production for a demo. 5,5-6/10 for MAGISTER.

Yes that MAGISTER is quite disappointing at last.I was eluded by the only fabulous track ''Uletay'' the others are too wimpy!Avoid it.ION BRITTON wrote:Thank you for the MAGISTER demo. If you want the ultimate Russian melodic metal you should download MONOMAH-First album(not the crappy and non-metal second)!
