The Metal Compilopedia
Not sure if I should post this here but...

Not a metal compilation at all but apparently it has an unreleased Graf Spee track and an Alvavast track which is probably the same version also available in Inocente Hasta Que Se Demuestre Lo Contrario.

The year of release is probably too late for the Corroseum compilation section.Cochino wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ROCK-URUGUAY-GRAFF- ... 3a59f3542b

How sweet guys, it's nice to know that I was missed, even if it was for odd reasons.ION BRITTON wrote:You gotta admit that a few arguments every once in a while make a forum more interesting, especially if they begin from an insignificant matrix number or a post-1990 album

Dan's been busy picking through hundreds of thrift shops trying to find a replacement for "old red".lunaboy wrote:I always check updates and New Additions on THE CORROSEUM News Section and the last update is from 2010-10-28 .That means more than 2 months of silence. What happened?

Glad you are enjoying the page enough to keep checking for updates, lunaboy. Dan is in fact very busy with life outside of the Internet, but hopefully there will be another update soon. I have sent him 5 reviews that are waiting to be added and I think I may send another batch tomorrow. We are also working on a volume 2 of the mix CD (I had to rerip a few tracks which I still need to send Dan, so I take responsibility for that being delayed).

I don't know if this one has been mentioned here already, but here's an interesting web page with a couple of samples from the Australian "Thunda From Downunda" compilation from 1986.
The Lotus song in particular is really good.

THE BEST OF GERMAN METAL NEWCOMER
The Best of German Metal Newcomer Compilation is listed on this site as EP.
Now i have a record in my hands with the same name and labelnumber but sides C and D !!! The bands are CHESTNUTZ, SYSTEM DECAY, VEBRIFUGE and REFORGER !
Does anybody know something about that ? Was it released as Double LP ?
How comes that DAN (or Keir?) owns only one and me too but the other ? Where they distributed separately ?
The vinyl is in the same clear red. No Cover

Re: THE BEST OF GERMAN METAL NEWCOMER
While waiting for the corroseum-domain to come back up I've busied myself with some more comp-writings. 11 more obscurities added to the site!
Never heard of, and I doubt few others has. I think you've laid your hands on a real super-obscurity there, Thomas! Any chance in hell you could record it for me so we can add it to the site?tbieri wrote:The Best of German Metal Newcomer Compilation is listed on this site as EP.

At the review of "A taste of Armageddon" compilation LP you state that only Metal Messiah had released a LP, which is not correct. TREASON had also released the "Path of no return" vinyl LP (private 1992), which is a great speed/thrash LP.DaN wrote:While waiting for the corroseum-domain to come back up I've busied myself with some more comp-writings. 11 more obscurities added to the site!
