(Btw, Alexander Nevskij was the name of a Russian neoclassical composer, i.e. this is not a solo-project but a band using his name)
Thanks, real curious how it compares to the single.

Thanx man. Good neoclassical HM/HR, unfortunately ruined by awful digital drums WAY too high in the mix. Sounded so much better over the phone
Now, please share that TONGEISTER-tape pronto!

Thanx! More neo-classical stuff, or rather "guitarwankery" this time. Well at least it's RUSSIAN wanking so I'm not complaining.
Btw, the ALEXANDR NEVSKII 7" just got uploaded at Metalrus. Great, heavy/semi-doomy HM not to be missed:

..and half the GIBEL BOGOV lp too, of which at least some parts sounded absolutely brilliant:

The thing is that for me, personally, Russian bands that sing in English are not interesting at all. There are some exceptions of course, but I tend to get dissapointed when Russian bands sing in English. How about you? And how about this feeling with bands from other countries?

Well I'm mostly interested in good music from whatever country but I can understand you, I prefer it also in the most cases when bands sing in their native language. Some exceptions though (Indonesian/Malaysian language w/ lots of "Babu" and "Gugu" words, doesnt sound good IMO)
But a nasty english accent can be pretty fun or also interesting to listen to as well . Black Hole is a good example for a foreign english accent that fits very well to the music.

I prefer the language to be English in most cases because I actually like being able to understand the lyrics without having to strain through the inserts and read the lyrics as the song goes on. No inserts are even worse in this case...
This question actually came up in a thread a while back...

I agree 100% - the same goes for most bands from other "East European" countries. I know that some people might have objections to this "odd" preference, but
I think that much of that exotic feeling gets lost when those bands try to reach a wider audience by subjecting to the already so very explored realms of English sung metal. In general I think the Slavic languages suit metal very well, German suits bad, French suits so-so... I could go on with a more detailed list but let's skip that for now...
