I actually find XENTRIX - Kin to be very good album which can rub shoulders with any 2-nd wave Bay Area band and easily top entire discographies of overrated bands like Laaz Rockit.
I agree on bands like D.A.M., Toranaga, Slammer being quite derivative, albeit still enjoyable to some extend for what they were.
Really good UK thrash bands for me were Deathwish and Sacrilege. Of course they are largely ignored by the "collectors" and while tons of people rush to pay $100+ for jokes like Lunacy coz they are "hot" on eGay, I've seen masterpieces like Demon's Preacher and especially the brilliant and avantgarde Turn Back Trilobite being neglected for under $20... go figure.
Another example is Taliön - Killing the World, a criminally-underrated melodic speed metal masterpiece.
Can Deliverance be considered as thrash? If so, they are easily my favourite UK thrash band ever.
Deathwish had a similar sound with the first DEliverance (minus the sloppy playing), but they don't reach the standards of the glorious "Devil's meat".
Never got into Taliön. Quite complicated stuff, i hate it when thrash/speed metal goes that way.

I would agree for Slammer, 1st one was average and 2nd one very poor thrash album, but not exactly with Xentrix (not the most original band on the scene, but they've made quite an progression throughout their career), or Toranaga (at least not on God's Gift, haven't heard the 1st one yet). Haven't heard Virus either ...
And another killer UK thrash band - Seventh Angel!

I was actually about to post that before I saw your response! AMAZING band! Much like Sabbat, they took a thrash metal base and then went into all kinds of odd directions. And, just like Sabbat, it fucking works perfectly! Whatever you think of their lyrical directions, you can't deny the quality of the music.
And say what you will, I actually enjoy Toranaga, Slammer, Xentrix, Virus, etc. Sure, it's generic (in some cases REALLY generic) but taken at face value they can be enjoyable.

i'd appreciate that too , in fact I keep checking for signs of that one going through the roof as I would sell mine asap
I don't think it's that lame but It's definitely not the most important CORONER album and I would prefer vinyl anyway..

Definitely agree about Deathwish being undervalued. At the Edge of Damnation in particular is a killer. Still, nice that it's fairly easy to obtain a copy.
