Played the clips - grrreat, crunchy, heavy hardrockmetal! I guess I both miss the more melodic vocals of the ancient single and really dig the more raw, "Lemmyish" vocals of the album. Thumbs up for the crisp yet raw production - just the way I like it. Luw the wild rehearsal-room sound of the drums 8)

That neat logo+claw motif in the beginning of some of the clips looks like a t-shirt waiting to happen. Keep us posted, Tim.

Hi Dan,

Mate - thanks a million for the comments - the Cynic Claw logo was used on the Rebel Eye EP and used to be on the front skins of my double bass Tama - Might be good to get it onto a T Shirt.
I saw Bloodstock Open Air were talking on a Forum about getting us to play - I have written to them to say we would be interested.
They run a forum pole wish list of those bands you would like to see.
I will keep you posted.
Best wishes,
Tim

Cynic T-shirt's and patches are mandatory!

I just saw the line-up for Bloodstock and it is even worse than Wacken. I hate to see that become the only Cynic gig.

Put it in a gatefold sleeve and on a nice thick vinyl and this will be the absolute best package of the year. :D

That would probably be the best solution. Though a small NWOBHM festival with Cynic, Arc, Scarab and Ritual would be perfect. :P

Bloodstock used to be quite good when it was indoors at the Derby Assembly Rooms. Had some great times there and saw a number of great sets:

Gamma Ray & Blind Guardian in 2002 for instance
Drinking 18 pints of bitter in one day.
Heckling Paradise Lost to play tracks off of their demos.

The last time I went was in 2005 and all the bands seemed to be female fronted gothic shite.

Now it all seems to be In Flames and Lacuna Coil bollocks bluurrgghh  :x
