I recently read a review about "Lightnin' To The Nations: NWOBHM 25th Anniversary Collection BOX" on this finnish website that calls itself *THE* metal media of our country and the reviewer dared to call that HOLOCAUST song ridiculous and compared the band to SPINAL TAP. Imo it's a big "fuck you" to Heavy Metal.

Thats pretty crazy stuff,I once read a Korpiklaani review and it said a lot of younger people consider their music "old people music" because of the folk is this true?

I don't think korpiklaani is old people music. Besides I think folk metal is very trendy and popular in my country at the moment.

I think I have to add "Long Live Heavy Metal" by Serpent's Knight. I have been really hooked on it for days! It may be too soon for me to call it a "definite" Heavy Metal hymn..but it's under serious consideration.

For me:

METALSTORM - Manilla Road
BLACK METAL - Venom (LAY DOWN YOUR SOULS TO THE GODS ROCK'N ROLL)
Possessed By Evil - Necronomicon
Valhalla - Bathory
Northern Attack - High Level (Recently discovered here :P)
Ace Of Spades - Motorhead
Heavy Metal - Judas Priest (The lyrics: "...Heavy Metal... What do you want")
The Number Of the Beast - Iron Maiden
Evil Dead - Death/Mantas
Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin
Yes, I agree for "Metalstorm" from MANILLA ROAD !! :)
