I know and I will probably be happy either way. Just sharing some thoughts. In my experience with few exceptions the later in the evening bands play at KIT the longer the playing time which doesn't always have to be the case in my opinion. Many resurrected US metal bands are exclusive bookings so it's not wrong to have them high up the bill late in the evening but usually bands with only one or two releases don't need more than 45 to 50 minutes to play a perfect show, while some bands that play earlier in the afternoon sometimes could make good use of a longer slot.

This is not criticism, just some thoughts.

Where do you draw the line for set times though? A band may have 10 records but if the organizers only enjoy 2 albums worth of material then why would they give them a 1.5 hour slot? This, like almost everything in music, comes down to taste.

Saddest announcement of the fuck' year... in other terms that almost mean some of those ass shoot the reunion..... they let Don telling it's 'on' for like 2 good months just stating 'I won't be part' of it and now there's all that bullshoit coming from at least 3 members. I really don't know why Ron is part of it considering he's NO former member. Fuck that shit BIG TIME!

It is a shame. If it was all about the fans and preserving band's integrity, those guys should have put aside that 28 year-old animosity and done a "Darkness Descends" KIT show with Don. The show has been announced already, and that's what the fans would have wanted.

And after that, they can shelve it once again and wait on Ron to overcome the issues preventing a "proper" reunion... my two cents on this issue

And rightly so. Oli made the correct decision - if Dark Angel act like children, they deserve to be treated like children.

Absolutely. In fact from this point if organizers had courange and brain they should boycott them. It's all about fuckin' money for two of those dudes.... FUCK THEM BIG TIME.

Hello Friends,

Unfortunately IRON CROSS had to cancel their show at KEEP IT TRUE 17 due to serious health problems of one of the band members. We hope these problems will be better again some day so we can invite them on a future KIT again.

As a replacement we were able to get a real gem of the great Texas Metal scene. KARION reformed last year after 27 years in the following line up and rereleased their early demos on CD:

Chris Cronk (ex- S.A. SLAYER, ex- JAG PANZER, ex- FATES WARNING) vocals
Art Villareal (ex- S.A. SLAYER) guitars
Pete Perez (ex- RIOT) bass
Chip Alexander drums

Since Chris and Art were founding members of S.A. SLAYER they will play some songs of this Texas Metal legend for the first time in Europe, also to honour the late Steve Cooper, who died in 2006. A great highlight for every fan of Texas Metal.

The festival is already COMPLETELY SOLD OUT. Thanks for your outstanding support!

So here is the billing so far:

KEEP IT TRUE 17

JAG PANZER (USA)
(Special Early Days Show for the first time in Europe with Joey Tafolla)
FLOTSAM & JETSAM (USA)
(Exclusive “No Place For The Deceiver” Show)

I'm not blaming you or the band. Shit like this can happen to anyone and I only wish him a quick and full recovery. Unfortunately, this band was the main reason for my trip. I'm seriously thinking about cancelling the whole thing now...
