received the "die hard" versions today. I don't usually spend this much on a new release (especially considering I own the originals in double format) but Tormentor is one of my all time favorite black metal bands so I couldn't pass them up. Attila did an amazing job with these.
In general though I agree with much of the sentiment in this thread. The price of new vinyl has exploded, and is really becoming prohibitive.

Because that is 30 (!) euros for a single Lp! There are enough examples of (well arranged) Lps which costs around 15 euros.

Apparently 25-30 EUR is becoming a norm for new vinyl retail price these days...

As long as people agree to pay this price. Obviously they care more about the package, leaving music on the background. Some of the forum's beloved labels continue selling their records for enormous prices, while their product is nothing different than any High Roller release.

So, it's allowed to pay a thousand euros for a 2nd rate album because it's original private press cult mega RARE, but if a NEW (eww!) release is 50% more pricy than many others, everyone going for it are consumer idiots led like rats?
I consider Anno Domini on vinyl worth 30€. Especially when it's done so well with a lot of pictures I had never seen and a long interview with the original members. TORMENTOR.

No worries, we had our fair share of good fights over this one as well.

I think the general consensus is that new vinyl releases should be competitively priced, as they are not collector status items.

Sadly it seems that this stuff is marketed to the likes of guys that post on the Metal Archives boards rather then those that will truly appreciate it for it's nostalgic value and therefore price gouging is common practice.
