Vágtázó Halottkémek - A halál móresre tanítása

The first song sounded like weird speed metal played by some kind of shamans.

Mercyful Fate - S/T EP
Hexx - Morbid Reality
V/A - Metal Massacre Ten (This reminded me of how the series was declining in quality)

Man, this is strange. Oh hang on, it plays at 45rpm!

Candlemass - Chapter VI

This one is the most underrated Candlemass record for sure. An unique album with a strong atmosphere which I could describe to be "creepy" or somehow "horrorish". I also enjoy Vikström's voice very much. I think that people think too much something like "it is not Messiah singing", which is a shame when speaking as strong album as this one is. Well, I myself find every Candlemass record enjoyable, but I may be a bit of a fanboy. :) Opinions?

Primal Scream - Volume One

Like this one a lot. Gives a "street thrash"-like vibe - similar to the first Leeway album but with some great rock-inspired guitar playing. Energetic as all hell too!

What is "street thrash"? Is it anything like the made up sub-genre of "street metal"?

Kinda  I use the term to describe simple but energetic, often punk or hardcore-injected thrash with a "street" feeling. Hard to describe but things like that Primal Scream album, Leeway, Cro-Mags' second album etc. would feet under the term. Some might say that is just crossover which works for me too.

Hell - Depths of Despair, from the Plague and Fire 1986 demo.
Probably with the best production they managed to get back in the 80's and these 3 songs pretty much sum up the greatness of the band!
Depths of Despair is a crushing piece of music, very eerie and considering what was to come with its composer... :(

I like this and From The 13th Sun. I've never given Dactylis Glomerata much of a chance though. I must dig these albums out again as I haven't listened to them in a good while.
