Not sure if I should post this here but...

Not a metal compilation at all but apparently it has an unreleased Graf Spee track and an Alvavast track which is probably the same version also available in Inocente Hasta Que Se Demuestre Lo Contrario.

The year of release is probably too late for the Corroseum compilation section.

Yes, I'm pretty sure about that but I recently found out about it and I thought about throwing it out there for Graf Spee completists and this thread came to mind. Maybe I should've used the Graf Spee thread over at Black Writs, or just not do any posts at 2 am with only 3 hours of sleep :P

It might not fit the comp-page, no, but I'd love to hear a rip of the CD just to figure out what those GRAF SPEE and ALVACAST songs are about...

I've been trying to get a copy and I found quite a bunch of "Musicos De La Republica" cd's but nobody has the first one :(
None of the other volumes feature metal as far as I know.

How sweet guys, it's nice to know that I was missed, even if it was for odd reasons.

Dan's been busy picking through hundreds of thrift shops trying to find a replacement for "old red".

Glad you are enjoying the page enough to keep checking for updates, lunaboy. Dan is in fact very busy with life outside of the Internet, but hopefully there will be another update soon. I have sent him 5 reviews that are waiting to be added and I think I may send another batch tomorrow. We are also working on a volume 2 of the mix CD (I had to rerip a few tracks which I still need to send Dan, so I take responsibility for that being delayed).

I don't know if this one has been mentioned here already, but here's an interesting web page with a couple of samples from the Australian "Thunda From Downunda" compilation from 1986.
The Lotus song in particular is really good.

THE BEST OF GERMAN METAL NEWCOMER

Post by tbieri »

The Best of German Metal Newcomer Compilation is listed on this site as EP.
Now i have a record in my hands with the same name and labelnumber but sides C and D !!! The bands are CHESTNUTZ, SYSTEM DECAY, VEBRIFUGE and REFORGER !

Does anybody know something about that ? Was it released as Double LP ?
How comes that DAN (or Keir?) owns only one and me too but the other ? Where they distributed separately ?

The vinyl is in the same clear red. No Cover

While waiting for the corroseum-domain to come back up I've busied myself with some more comp-writings. 11 more obscurities added to the site!

Never heard of, and I doubt few others has. I think you've laid your hands on a real super-obscurity there, Thomas! Any chance in hell you could record it for me so we can add it to the site?

At the review of "A taste of Armageddon" compilation LP you state that only Metal Messiah had released a LP, which is not correct. TREASON had also released the "Path of no return" vinyl LP (private 1992), which is a great speed/thrash LP.
