2 old Swedish zines added: Heavy Rock #2 and Metal Guardians #4, the latter written in English.
All links should now be fixed so they lead directly to the Download-option.
..Oh and did I mention I will also buy any old fanzines you have if they aren't too pricey? Pref. in bulk to save up on postage.

Re: 80's Metal fanzines - discussions/tips/page-feedback (CONTRIBUTORS WANTED!)
Thanks very much for resurrecting this section DaN, i love perusing these Metallic time capsules.
I've got several old zines all in pdf format which i'd be happy to pass your way if you think they merit inclusion, however none are my original scans & i'm unsure where on earth i originally got them from, although i'm sure i got a few from Strappado's place.
Here's what i have:
BLACKTHORN (DEN) - 2, 4 & 5 (1985-1987)
DISTORTION NEWSLETTER (USA) - 1 (1992)
DRASTIC SOLUTIONS (CAN) - 1 & 2 (1988-1989)
GRAY MATTER (USA) - 1 & 2 (1987)
METAL FORCES (UK) - 1-5, 7, 9 & 10 (1983-1985)
METAL-CORE (USA) - 2 (1987)
RED ALERT (USA) - 6 (1983)
SEVERE (CAN) - 1 (1987)
TEENAGE DEPRESSION (UK) - 12 (1980)
Just drop me a pm if yr interested.

Crap! It's sooo tempting to accept your offer since some of those look very interesting, but I decided from the start to try to only include scans that were either made especially for The Corroseum, or at least where I had the permission from the one who scanned them.bigfootkit wrote:Thanks very much for resurrecting this section DaN, i love perusing these Metallic time capsules.

(...which is a bit absurd I know, coz technically I should ask the original editor and not the scanner, but I'm well aware that this part of the site is operating in the same very dark-gray area as mp3-blogs. I.e. a project like this would be damn near impossible to make if one were to track down all the original creators, so I'll just run with it this way until someone gives me a call...)

Many thanks for the Metal Meltdowns. It surely was one of the best. Have read all 3 of them twice already.

I'm proud to announce that The Corroseum's Fanzine Library is now considerably less sucky! In fact it's looking pretty darn good now that I've added individual thumbnail galleries and slide shows. Check 'em out and let me know how they work out for you.
You're dead right, John! It's one of the US finest old Thrash rags. 2 more issues has now been added: #7 and #8 ...and more will come soonION BRITTON wrote:Many thanks for the Metal Meltdowns. It surely was one of the best. Have read all 3 of them twice already.

John and DaN,
All Metal Meltdowns are still available from author and publisher Jeff McKluke and rather cheap, IMHO. Great guy! He sells 'em via eGay.
I am bothering him to print unpublished reviews from time to time. Perhaps one day he will decide to do it.
