One of the ultra-über-obscure aussie Hard Rock singles is undoubtly the black opaline of Sydney outfit Target.
Besides Peter Morley (drums) and David Caruana (bass) there was also Terry Batu involved, who wasn't any unknown
local guitarist at all. Batu previously was member of Hard Rockers
COBRA from Canberra (late 70's) and either
recorded a scarce single with these guys. The lads during the mid 80's threw all cash into one pot and produced
this excellent 2 tracker, featuring the Batu written song "Danger" and "Time and space", composed by David Caruana.
"Danger" sounds rather classic pounding Hard Rock inspired, but explodes when Batu fires up his solo. The B-side
then just makes you to wanna lean back, closing your eyes, to drift away into time and space, listening to that
epic Metalrocker with influences of the NWOBHM shining through all the time. For those who remember HOLLOW GROUND
on "
Roksnax", well that's the sound to expect, epic heaviness with NWOBHM twin leads all along. All of the guys
later during 1989 joined the reformed Sydney Hard Rock legend HUSH, that was active throughout the 70's.
