Forgotten Temples

Well-nigh forgotten (no pun intended) these days, FORGOTTEN TEMPLES was a mid-1990s Dark Ambient/Dungeon Synth act from Athens, consisting of single mastermind Verith (vocals, all instruments) [note: not the same person as Anton “Verith” L. of ETHEREAL/DESOLATION]. At least two relatively short but pretty good-looking demo tapes (both less than 10 minutes in duration) were produced at Studio 5 (Athens) during summer 1995, after which no further activities have been noted. Musically, “The Endless Sky” (1995) and “Voices in the Dark” (1995) bear some similarity to the works of the more well-known Greek D.S. act WINTERGODS, with focus on atmospherics attained through the employment of spoken/whispered word passages, sound effects and ritualistic settings. Pretty lo-fi stuff, but worth checking out for both connoisseurs and completists.
