There’s very scarce information available on this Athenian group and most of what we know has been gathered from an old interview in Ante Portas zine #2 and by word of mouth. FEAR was founded in Athens during 1991, shifting through several members before settling into a steady lineup including (sorry, only first names are currently known) Kostas (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Makis (guitars), Sakis (bass) and Mike (drums). According to the words of the band members themselves, FEAR played Techno-Death/Thrash Metal, influenced by everything from Classical music to Death Metal. They were active during the early years of the 1990s, during which time they performed concerts with well-known domestic groups such as ACID DEATH, BLOOD COVERED, EPIDEMIC and PIRANHA.
FEAR released at least one promo tape, but whether or not this tape is synonymous with another title kindly provided by one of readers (“The Dark Kingdom of Angels” – thank you Dimitris!) is currently unknown. In the interview, the band members also mentions that they had plans to record a Mini-LP, set for release in summer 1993, but as far as we know this release never materialized – unless the band changed their name and released it under a different moniker.
Any kind of information on this act would be greatly appreciated.
