According to the scarce information we have, BLACK SIDE LAYER was allegedly a 1980s/1990s Salonikan Heavy Metal band that at some point included brothers Kostas and Lakis Ragazas on bass and guitars respectively – both of DECEPTOR fame. The band seems to have recorded at least demo tape, referred to as “Demo 1990”, which included two tracks.

As for the later activities of the Ragazas brothers, we know that Lakis went on to play guitars in international acts such as MYSTIC PROPHECY and OLIVER WEERS. He also participated at some point in Thessaloniki’s Progressive Metal pioneers FATAL ATTRACTION as well as recorded a full-length album in 2000 with Hard Rockers LONG LIVE. As for Kostas, we have no current record of his musical career post-DECEPTOR.

Any further information related to BLACK SIDE LAYER would of course be greatly appreciated.
