For me.. Killer Fox - Orgasm Of Death, perfect example...OmenOfSteel wrote:There are many records I hold in high regards, although the music might be just average or below even to my own ears. Still I love them. And I probably wouldn't love them if I just had a copy of the music on a plain tape or MP3.
the cover is worth ever cent!
Helm, ION BRITTON & DaN...you guys are total geniuses with your points on this subject!
I have a killer unreleased album from a late 80's early 90's Aussie thrash band that I'd really love to share with you guys.
Totally rare, unreleased & really killer stuff...
just send me a PM with your addresses & I'll send you a burn copy!
(Sorry, i just dont know how to upload it for everyone, but I dont mind sharing as it's killer stuff!!??)

Ask any small label that has invested thousands and barely breaks even or loses money in the process what their opinion of this is. I'm not even going to mention my opinion, I think it should be obvious. I'm not sure what communistic utopian dream world this idea of yours resides in but if it wasn't for people investing $$ in music you wouldn't have all this "free information" to listen to.

I hate internet sharing because there is no control of where the music you share eventually end up. Put it on the internet once and all of a sudden everybody has it. When I ripped the Jonah Quizz demo a few years ago I posted it on a forum that was supposed to be private. Urls weren't supposed to be given out, files weren't supposed to be shared with non members etc. Yeah right. In a month there wasn't a person on this planet that hadn't heard the damn thing.
I long back to the days of cdr/tape trading when every trade meant that a recording reached the ears of one new listener and not a thousand faceless leechers.
