It's now been a whole month since this episode was posted, that's surely long enough for the guessing game. I'll post the complete tracklist within 24 hours.

Is it already? Anyway, despite much of an effort, I haven't got anywhere close to decipher the rest of tracks and am kinda glad that stretching will be over. In the end it felt a little like

"Two hundred ?"

and effect was close to "... studying bikinis ... ya prat!"

I'm guessing those quotes are how you interpreted parts of the raving Scotsman's epic rant at the end of the episode, but if so, you weren't even close. Precisely why i don't talk in the podcast, no-one would understand a word. :D
Here then, as promised/threatened is the complete tracklist for 'No Minor Vices':

Warrior Soul ??? I should know this... but to my ears it sounded like some BAD BRAINS off-shot.

April Wine ??? Oh, weak, man. Incredibly ... more modern than it should be. Is this from their best album?

Superkid... holy shite. no chance at all

Ditto for Arion, Paris and Ram.

Looking forward for Episode 9.

Regarding the rant, I understood it in the way father scolding his child/children for spending time on other activities than studying. Hence all the stuff I actually checked gave "bikini" results (=nil) in more than one sense. So it goes...

Btw. Where is that "Two hundred" from?

Granted, Arion, Ram & Superkid (mid-70's Indonesian Hard Rock is indeed fairly niche :D ), were unlikely to be identified, but i was surprised that G Force, Warrior Soul, April Wine & Paris (ex-Jethro Tull & Fleetwood Mac) went unrecognised.
Agreed, the April Wine track does sound like it was made far later than '78. I always thought it'd make a good cover version if Metallica were to do another 'Garace Inc.' record, i can absolutely hear Hetfield singing this song. Not sure if 'First Glance' is their best LP but it is a good one. Almost all their 70s/early 80s LPs had some very worthwhile tracks on them, though none quite as good as Silver Dollar which is in a class of it's own.
That rant was actually taken from a football podcast, with the ranter castigating the referee in a particular match for being biased. Hard to believe a Kilmarnock/Motherwell game (honestly!) could provoke such emotion.
The '$200...' line was from a 70's porn film. I forget the movie's title, but it did feature one of my favourite old school porn starlets, the beautiful & talented Kristine Heller. A quick google later & i think it was from ''V': The Hot One' (1978).
