The Corroseum forum (new design under construction)

A few day ago I got an email from bassist Jon of this old UK demo-act (because review) and he shared w/ me their complete discog, and I though I'd pay it forward, coz this is totally right up my alley. The good kind of primitive/d.i.y. demo-Steel, reminding me both of ultra-British, spacey stuff like Sacred Alien, Mournblade or even Hawkwind, as well as a wee bit of Medieval and other thrashoid garage-crunchers...

...where as a bonus you can also watch a live gig from '86. A bit more crude a performance than on the studio recordings, but you gotta love those masks!

Top stuff....though the vocalist sounds like a right upper class toff on the live videos...Herr Walker would not approve...

I liked it, though it seems he ran a tape hiss reduction filter on it, I can hear it throughout the whole rip since it also chops out the dynamics. Would love to hear it someday without that, until then...

I checked w/ Jon and unfortunately he didn't have any spare tapes left. Might get some more material in the near future though..

Just got 2 live tapes: I haven't had the time to listen to them yet, but some of the choices of covers looked interesting.. Will enjoy in the coming days...
