Khnud, well since you want only heavy metal then I guess that rules out Mass 'Rock 'n' Roll Power at 25th Hour', which I love (It does have a few weak songs though, not a surprise.) So much great 70's stuff from germany.

Anyway I see already mentioned many good ones. Don't forget all the great D & S comps indexed here on the corroseum.
Black Hawk 'First Attack'
the Black Burn demo lp that High roller released.
Breaker 'Dead Rider' is great though that band was mentioned.
Gator lp is really cool for me, I think you would like it. (It does have a few weak songs).
Calderone
Dead Man's Fun
I think the Black Dragon lp is decent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKuXPku2zMY

Ok, I'm tired of digging now, many more to be discovered...

@Rob: I don't mind hard rock. I have most Mass albums already though. :-)

Repression "Animal raw" (1988) + "Germany rocks" (1992)

Good Teutonic steel.

I've heard Angel War at a friends house once, and we both agree that this vinyl isn't a shooting star on the german Metal heaven. :)

Next German Metal 7" Single that should be mentioned here:

RAVE - Angel on the run 7" PS

(much much better than their weak 12" that came later)

Looks that a few copies came with photocopied PS, so watch out for the ones with Original PS.

An early german Metal gem is the Loose Connection 7", but is was only sold at gigs by the band so it's pretty hard to find:

Also Rebirth from 1980/81:

and Snakebite:

Rebirth can be found easy. I've seen "alot" of 1 Euro copies ...

RAVAGE-Swords & Heroes EP
CRACK JAW-Night Out LP
HAMMERSCHMITT-s/t LP
REAPER-Beyond all Time LP (for me better than the rare and mainly talked EP)
ADRIAN-One step into the uncertain LP
AIRWOLF-Victory Bells LP

Just some bands that previous members forgot to mention, the German scene is huge and for me has some excellent releases, along with average crap...

And only vinyl works for you?
Some FANTASTIC bands in the 90's with CD releases only, not "Keeper of the Seven Keys pt 2" influenced (even though there were tons of them)

I like this album a lot.
At least there is a cd version available, feat. the entire material from 1986-2006.

Yep, but on ebay.com. It's a smart turn to buy the 1 Euro copies on ebay.de and resell it on ebay.com to get extra cash for records. I had 3 1 Euro copies so far. All forwarded to friends for free ...

Was the Rue Morgue LP already mentioned? It's quite listenable Power Metal ...
