FLANEZ - Fast Foodt MLP 1989

Post by Nightcrawler »

It seems that still many people have not listened to this band, which is a real pitty as it is GODLY Metal imo. To me, probably the best private release from Germany. According to some sources, only 200 were pressed, so it is very hard to find...The rarity grade 3 of Metalpage seems to be outdated for a long time. Ignore the awful cover and enjoy!

I don't think you'll be disappointed. We'll duke it out on ebay for the next copy that turns up

The first and last tracks definitely stand out more than the middle, but damn is He's the One a monster! Worth the price of admission for that track alone. I would have never guessed this was a German record just listening to it, sounds like pure US metal.

I liked those two tracks more as well at first, but in the meantime "Stand Up" got my favorite....It's like when you think that the great chorus is over, the real chorus starts....

 loved it! the guitar approach and the vocal melodies indeed may not sound like your average german metal. Need more songs!!

He's the One, sounds as if its a lost good Helloween/Heavens Gate etc... track. Also Keep on Believing... which drags on a bit. Stand Up is slower, sounds American, commercial steady rocker, not bad but nothing memorable.

Vocals let it down. A bit irritable. Especially on Keep on Believing.
