ARYON - Rebels Of The Night LP + 7"

Post by DaN »

Requested by Alanightsblood...
Good, solid hardrockmetal. Horrendously rare, maybe not worth the market price but still nice enough earcandy for fans of old NWOAHM.

Not 100% sure, but I think Rob/doomedplanet should be credited for this rip..

Ah, it's the one with the child-frightening cover! Thanks for this.

Thanks Dan! I figure people buy it just for the cover even if they have no clue about the music! :)

The tracks on the 7" are the same as on the LP right?

BTW, when I talked to guitarist Russ, he had this to say about the album cover:

"The concept was this; the song "Rebels of the Night" was used as a theme for the photo shoot. We were outside corrupting boys and girls from a normal suburban life, and getting them to adopt and becoming heavy metal headbangers and getting them to like the heavy metal music and lifestyle. Looking at the cover now... the cover now looks a bit creepy. But... We had no big budget and that was the best concept we could come up with."

There's a sleeveless copy of the single on ebay at the moment.

Hmm. The album overall's a bit trite & tacky, but the single's nice.

Like the album, similar vibe to the single. Simple but punchy and catchy rock-metal. Would consider putting it on the want list, but man that cover creeps me out

A bit of trivia. Bassist Bruce Sedlacek would later move to and become driving force for ROBYN DANGER, writing and producing almost all songs from 1985 up to his untimely demise in 1992. RIP
