I wasn't too sure where to put this question, but does anyone know how much postage should be for 1 LP sent from Germany to Australia?

Thanx in advance...

Good question, it seems to vary from seller to seller.

LP in a good mailer with bubblefoil and stuff is rarely under 500gr. so it will be 12€ in maybe 85% of all cases. But since Finland is in the EU it would be half as expensive as sending out of the EU = 3€ below 500gr, 6€ up to 1kg.
Germany has actually low shipping costs if you send LPs as big letters and if youre not going to send a big parcel above 2 kilos. Otherwise the prices go skyrocket quite a bit.

Does that include the price of the plane ticket to have them personally deliver the LP to your front door?

Haha...

This would be about a DHL Parcel International up to 5 kilos premium (=air mail and all sorts of secured). It's insanely expensive for one LP and absolutely not necessary unless it's a really really rare one. A big letter with registration for 14,05€ does the trick no problem.
Ask him what kind of shipping he thought to use
with greetings from a fellow german dude :|

9-12euro seems to be the average I am stung getting stuff from there to here these days, 14 would be the max I pay on a 1-2LP package from Germania to Aus.

For quotes that go beyond this I have it shipped to a mate in Germany who stockpiles stuff for me until I get a few kg and I have it sent in a >5kg box (approx 35-45 euro from memory)

Some sellers use DHL exclusivly when you pay with paypal, cause if they use normal mail it is too easy for the buyer to claim they didn't receive it and get their money back.
Yeah, paypal rocks people.

There are also other mail services in Germany like Hermes that charge insanely high prices when sending outside of Germany.

And Humus is right. Sent your parcel with DHL and protection, and only with this then you can fuck a paypal-claimer in the ass.

you can send 1 LP (weight till 500gr.) from Germany to Australia for 6€ (send as a letter) or send as registered letter for 8,05€....i think sending as registered letter is the better way ...you have a transmission proof......
