Arkham Asylum, that's the name of the Asylum where are jailed all the Batman's Villains. So you can make tribute to both batman (who is great) and to Gotham City (which is great too).

Just like this Italian Death Metal band: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=51209

Also, Arkham is a city from stories of H.P. Lovecraft.

Snigel is a good name...

HUNT haven't been used as far as I know. Sounds kinda cool... I have to think about it and get back if I come up with anything else.
I summoned up the living dead, and demons in the skies.

What about city names?

There are some great ones out there.
I always loved BELFAST until I found out that there has already been a Heavy band with that name. :?

I think a band name should be some kind of "business card" and remarkable therefor I'd suggest you not to chose words like steel, iron, hell, death...

Or think of bands which used real names, such as Jethro Tull, Joe Step, Hendrickson, Yngwie J. Malmsteen etc. etc.

There are a billion opportunities if you only think a bit out of the typical metal name scheme.

Steel Sinner
Iron Spire
Cryztal "Something"(Like "Legend" or "Majesty") or just Cryztal

Or type words like "Hell" and "Aggression" into a thesaurus and go from there.

hehe I remember when you suggested this for my band's name too. Too bad it's already used, because I like the idea of using city names as well

What about Athens?

It's rotten, dirty, uncivilized and corrupted to the bone. What else do you need for your evil-sounding bandname?

guess Scavenger has been changed into STEELWING :| some time ago so all the good suggestions will vanish into thin air. although, LUSIFAHS CHYLDE or many others mentioned would have been yet more troo!

ATHENS exists yet http://www.athensband.co.uk/ - not sure if they got the meaning of their name right though. don't look too rotten to me!
