Pretty strange there are no other mentions of Vanexa, since the EP is a lot cooler than most stuff people have brought up...

I don't buy records from bands, that I can't even pronounce

No, seriously, the cover looks promising, how do they sound like?

I haven't seen HOCCULTA--Warning Games mentioned yet, so check it out. Heavily influenced by the Scorpions.

some of the essentials:

Black Hole
old Death SS
Paul Chain
Ghost Rider
Strana Officina [the recently released box set is awesome]
Dark Lord
Bulldozer
Neurodeleri
Mortuary Drape
Necrodeath
Dark Quarterer
Rex Inferi
Schizo
The Black
Vanexa
Unreal Terror
Malombra
Il Segno del Commando
Zess
Run After To [especially the demo]
Abysmal Grief if you like doom
Blasphemophagher if you like filth
Baphomet's Blood if you like Motorhead, etc.

The first impression that the band gives you is that they are a sonic wall of extreme noise. But DO LISTEN to the record more that 3 times my friend as it has MANY tricky and cathy melodies as well.

Needless to say that their masterpiece (imho) is their outstanding/astonishing/groundbreaking/earthshackin'/bonesplitin'/throatslittin' THE DAY OF WRATH!

Italian Heavy Metal band with female vocal.

BLACK GHOST from Parma.
In 1985 release a demo-tape, their first and last album.
The vocalist is called Lisa "Lee Hevil" Belladonna.

When I think of Italian metal I think of the fantastic ADRAMELCH. The GUNFIRE and DANGER ZONE Mlp's. The killer demo band SHINING BLADE, it's mandatory Italian metal even the melodic unreleased lp, one of my most wanted reissue wishes! Others worth a mention... Death SS, Fingernails, Astaroth roman metal!, White Skulls 1st one (I dunno about the rest), Nuclear Simphony was ok but is a silly thrash LP I brought instead of Trojan Chasing the Storm grr! stupid kid I was.

aha, I see also the first Eversor LP!!!

You know, they released also a split Ep with Paul Chain, then later they turned into a hardcore band (the split Lp with Accidia is very good, one of my favourite!) and then into a emo-punk-pop band till they split some years ago...

Did someone mention Vanadium???

They're classic...it's a shame there isn't any official reprint on CD.

Their label, Durium was one of the very first "major" in Italy to print hard and heavy music (it was very active also in the VHS market with a lot of super rare and hard to find tapes)... their bankrupt at the beginning of the 90's caused a lot of troubles and many bands can not be reprinted yet because of legal problems linked with this bankrupt. That's why it's hard to hope for a legal reprint of Vanadium

I think noone has been mentioning Morgana. In my opinion one of the best female fronted bands ever! For me one of the top recordings from Italy!
