The heavy metal of Moscow

I'm going to travel the transsibirian railway in Mars/April and I'm wondering what there is to do for a man of metal like myself in Moscow? Is there any great record shops or pubs here?

And if anyone knows anything about the following places where we're stopping that would be great too: Irkutksk, Ulan Bator, Beijing

I know the price a Belgian touroperator asks because I just read it last week in a brochure...7000 euro.

haha what's included then? Fork and knife of gold for every meal and a bathtub filled with diamonds?

So far I have payed for the hotel nights in Moscow and Irkutsk, all three visas (is that the correct word?) that is needed, all train trips, flight Stockholm - Moscow and flight Peking - Stockholm. For all of that I've payed a little less than 2000 euros (19000 SEK)

I have no clue what's included. Saw the advert, the price and then quickly turned the page

Nothing here, except the 666 Rock Shop. You won't find any rarities but the people who run the place are always up for a good chat.

Wang from 666 Rock Shop rules! He came to my house once... he is one of the friendliest guys I know. He also runs the label "AreaDeath" productions.

One piece of advice: the first thing you should do when land in Moscow is to go to the first pharmacy and buy ANTI-POHMELIN. Plenty of it! Because once you get on that train your liver will be going south of heaven and the anti-pohmelin would be the only thing to help you cope with the hangovers... Trust me, you dont want to know how painful it could be to have a throbbing hangover attuned to the tu-tuff, tu-tuff repetitive noise the train makes...

Back on the topic: you should go to Gorbushka while in Moscow. It is the biggest music market (and not only) located in Moscow. I dont know how good it is for rare stuff these days, but is worth a try.

Haha, I'll probably buy something for that here in Sweden. Our first train trip is from Moscow to Irkutsk and will take four days and nights so there's defenitely time for a lot of vodka
