Ossuary are certainly not bad. Not my kind of death metal, but they have 1 or 2 very good songs and a handful of memorable riffs too.
I have yet to hear Devastación, but I totally hate Mastifal and Serpentor, maybe 'cause I know they're a bunch of posers and I can't listen to their music without prejudice.
From Uruguay I highly reccomend Angkor Vat, mainly their Southern Blood demo, pure South American Death/Thrash. And Nekromantie from Colombia (I think) were pretty cool too.

Inner Sanctum and Graf Spee from Uruguay are good.

Yeah, Graf Spee is sort of obvious in this forum I guess, that's why I didn't mention them. They're in my top 5 of South American bands.
I don't like much Inner Sanctum though, is just like a South American version of Celtic Frost, you know, like those trbute bands that play on birthdays and weddings.

Graf Spee on the top five? I'd rather put Reencarnacion in instead

Well, there could be both of them, after all is a top 5
Right now I think mine would be (in no particular order)
Sepultura (only old stuff, of course)
Sarcófago (because of INRI, I don't care much about their other stuff)
Graf Spee
Pentagram
Reencarnación

Yes, Death Yell is awesome. The sloppy drums in the speed sections give a lot of charme to this demo. I'm glad I've ordered the NWN LP ages ago.

My favourite album: Bloody Vengeance or INRI; can't choose: both are equally disgusting in an impressive way; 10/10 albums for sure. Nothing can't beat the wickedness embedded in those masterpieces. The disgusting vomit screams on Bloody Vengenace are just an example or the sincere "FUCK YOU JESUS CHRIST", yes!!!! real black metal.

I adore other Brazilien and South American death/thrash (and metal in general) as well.

...and Masacre from Colombia: too good to be true, especially those demo's.
Long Live The Loud !!!

There was also Tormentor, who became Shub Niggurath. Don't know of any Mexicans who were active as early as 1986/7, though.

I am almost sure that Sargatanas and Frightful Cross were around in the mid 80's in MEX.

Another band no one has mentioned is Resistencia; Hecho en.. is a great album!

But Resistencia is not Thrash/Death (nor either of those individually) if I'm not mistaken.
