Recorded at the old Pebble Mill studio in Birmingham & presented by one of my fave History experts, Michael Wood. The band really comes across as a very mediocre bunch (except Bill Ward) on this. Still, heavier than Ashbury :-D
Walker was definitely an unusual choice for Sabbath & he makes them sound very different, but i've gotten used to this embryonic version of the song over the years (courtesy of the very same boot you mentioned) and i rather like it for what it is.
Having said that i'm one of the small band of weirdos who think 'Never Say Die' is an overlooked (if atypical) little gem of an LP & the album version of 'Junior's Eyes' is one of my favourite Sabbath songs, so i was likely predisposed to enjoy the Walker version.
Who knows, maybe the appearance of this footage will inspire Iommi to raid the archives for a long oversue 4 disc super-deluxe version of NSD?
Take my money Tony! :D
The version with Ozzy is defo superior in many ways & conjures up different emotions than Dave Walker's fair attempt. "Johnny Blade" & "Hard road" are the other two stand-out tracks for me. But the whole production of the album is just so paper-thin & Those "very-live-in-the-studio" drums make me cringe everytime.
Great artwork though (including the innersleeve art aswell)

I agree that the album version is far more fleshed-out, with the subject matter, Geezer's excellent lyric, & Ozzy's performance giving the song an entirely different feel & a whole other level of emotional resonance.
As a work-in-progress 'sketch' though, the Walker version is an interesting curio & an intriguing glimpse into the 'what if?' alternate reality where they recorded NSD with him.
I agree too with the other tracks you cherry picked as stand-outs from the LP, but i'd also add the hard driving title track & the etheral 'Air Dance' as firm favourites of mine. Neither are archetypal Sabs songs, but they both work so well despite the different musical territory they inhabit.
'Shock Wave' & 'Over to You' are decent enough songs, with some great guitarwork on both, though they lack the quality of the aforementioned songs overall.
It's 'Break Out' & 'Swinging The Chain' that i have most trouble with. Both contain great riffs that deserved a better fate, but the finished songs feel like they've been hurriedly cobbled together out of jam sessions with minimal thought for arrangement or direction.
Considering the state of the band at that time, overall the finished album is probably better than it has any right to be.
I cannot, I shall not, I will not obey.

Ok, a weird one from Italy...it's a short movie filmed in 1985 in Bologna...it's called "Raudi" (Firecrackers)

The director and main actress was Laura Carroli (aka Laure De Lauris), a punk multimedia artist since the second half of the seventies...drummers of RaF Punk (one of the earliest italian punk bands), writer, painter etc. etc.

The Plot:

A regular guy ask Laure for a ride, they make friendship but later he stole her car (a Diane...btw,with that car Raf Punk went around Europe to play and having a lot of fun and troubles too...), then she goes with a motorbike in search of the car...a car that in the end seems possessed...

Soundtrack:

There are Boys Of Texas,Dead Kennedys,X Ray Spex ,Acid (with Black Car),Coroner,Manowar ,Pink Floyd etc. etc.
Solo i morti hanno visto la fine della guerra.
