Heartwork's a bloody great album, DamN it!

It is close to excellence, but not in the sense of classic 80's vinylmania.

Good album indeed, but I prefer "Symphonies of Sickness" and "Necroticism".

The Taipan 7" is on "Central Station Records and Tapes" with no matrix code or catalogue # except 'taipan-a' and 'taipan-b' marked in the dead wax.

on a side note, the picture sleeve on this single is so killer, what were Bullet thinking when the discarded it for that crap cover art used on the 12"?

Central Station Records & Tapes is pre-MFM. It was the name of the shop for years before changing to Metal For Melbourne.

I've emailed Greta direct to ask her for exact details..

Just got a reply from her:

"You're right with the 4 MFM's and Taipan was the first one that we released but that was way back when we were still Central Station Records. I remember the day that the boss came racing into the shop and saying...."Greta-quick-we need a label done for the Taipan single"........shit! Back in those days I had a little lettraset (spelt like???) and the rest I did by hand, in between serving customers etc.....so there wasn't even a number for it......I was lucky to even remember to put 'side 1 & side 2' on the thing.
It had

THE CELLAR
and it was re-released as a 12" single in England sometime later on Bullet Records."

Btw, I cut the Avanzada Metalica page short by their last (?) vinyl release since thereabouts is where they steered in a more Death Metal-direction = a bit off topic.

No problem. Just thought that because these were '91 releases and you were covering the '87-'91 period that they were relevant.

Regarding ROCKWERK :

EXPLODER seem to be the only Metal band there ... Surely Jutta Weingold would count ... 20 yrs ago.
