GLACIER - Demo '88 w/ Tim Lachman

Post by ION BRITTON »

Here it is, one of my favourite demos. Features the amazing Tim Lachman of Gargoyle. These are the 4 best tracks Glacier ever wrote (ok, along with "Vendetta")

Incredible stuff. The 'Geoff Tate' on vocals does a great job too.

Underground obscuritism is one thing, but Geoff Tate being inferior to the likes of Tim Lachman takes it to an absurd level. Let's not lose our heads here. I like say, Slauter Xstroyes more that Queensryche myself, but this doesn't change that Geoff Tate is a world class singer, and in the top 5 of absolute greatest metal vocalists of all time.

I doubt he'd take that as an insult.

That's like saying Rob Halford is overrated :P

Listen to the Zions Abyss LP/CD, Geof Tate is nothing compared to that guy. Halford can't be overrated

Back to the demo:

Superb. stuff. It's quite different from the EP IMO, this leans more towards Gargoyle, Lachman's voice is as godly here as on Gargoyle, thanks.

Am I the only one here who finds GLACIER totally genious and GARGOYLE merely mediocre?

Got this demo from elsewhere recently, don't remember where. Fucking SUPERB, Class-A US Metal, but no "Ready For Battle"s or "Vendetta"s imo.

Excellent demo, thanks for sharing! Still doesn't match the EP for me though. Only track that I might consider an improvement is the last one ("Silence Is Golden").
