and that VIRUS - Lunacy CD is sooooo average 2-nd division UK thrash I'd never personally pay more than $5 if it is for my personal collection. Sincere condolences to everyone who ended spending more on it

Keep those listings coming, they are hilarious beyond belief. I want to see some really lame albums selling for ass-busting price, something like CORONER - Grin or SACROSANCT - Tragic Intense for $200+ or something.

I normally don't but it was $10.00 and I've never heard it before.

If it's any good, I'll search for one without, otherwise get rid of it.

The benefit of doing it this way, is if it ends up being decent and I want a better booklet, the disc or back insert may be in better condition then the replacement copy so they can be swapped.

Agreed, when I was growing up VIRUS were considered a bit of a joke here in the UK. A bit like SLAMMER really. Both were more like 3rd division really.

I have both Slammer full lengths. The first one is quite decent if generic thrash metal. Nightmare Scenario I haven't listened to in ages, but I remember it to be utter garbage.

There is something tragic about the whole british thrash movement, bands like Toranaga, Xentrix, Slammer etc. Even if I can appreciate albums like "Shattered Existence" or "God's Gift" for what they are, it's kind of sad how it sounds like they really wished they were from San Fransisco and had played Ruthie's Inn in 1984, yet they were generic blueprints of the bay area scene, hopelessly three or four years behind.

The exception as far as british thrash goes is of course the mighty SABBAT.

100% CORRECT. Nearly all the thrash bands at the time wanted to be from the Bay area. Nearly all of them sucked. At the same time there were countless "Glam" bands from from shithole towns all pretending it was like LA, The Sunset Strip & The Whiskey.

Luckily at the time there were also bands like Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Unseen Terror, Intense Degree, Ripcord etc. coming through and releasing ripping quality music
