Yes, I was considering posting some stuff here, but it kinda hard to compete with the latest posts. Some mind-blowing stuff in people's collections here.

Never get involved in a Vinyl fight with the german fellows! The stuff in their pictures is usually worth more than my internal organs combined

I love how Zaxas, Amethyst, and Flames of Hell were relegated to the 'randomy stuff' pictures. That's like posting nude photos of Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie under the title 'some ok images of random humans' :!:

We can trade our BMWs and Mercedes for PARADOXX and WYZARDs for ever, no problem, we're not China, we're actually trading, not only selling!

But those are really randomly put in, the rarest item in the pics is definitely the AVALON LP....

is the Xentrix 12" really that rare? Thought I'd seen one a few weeks ago in a record store...

no! it is only collector porn like the thread name...the items on the pics are not equally=rare only because of the pics...some of those are easy to get some impossible, just a mix outta mood yesterday...

For Avalon, I always wondered why there are versions with the 'robotarm' and other ones with a simple hand. Where they promos? Do you know the difference in pressing numbers?

the one with the robotarm seems to be extremely rare with prices fetching up to 200-300$. I think that I have read that only a few were made and that they never were for sale, so it could be a promo as it has the same catalogue number as the usual one.

No this was the first withdrawn cover as band/label didn't like the design. According to Die-Hard collectors elite only 5 or 6 known copies around..I can not tell if this is true but it is one of the few records I have seen only 2 or 3 copies in life.

Value is starting from 500-600 € upwards. For 200-300 US$ it would be a cheapo maybe it went so cheap cause the collector's didn't see and people are not aware how rare it is...But there are more records like this.

The only sales of the Robot Avalon recorded on popsike went for $292 and $386. Those were several years ago, (2004 and 2005) and I realize popsike doesn't record every transaction, so it could sell much higher today. But if this record is now in the 500+ euros range then it's jumped significantly in the past 5 years. I'm not familiar with it so I can't add much to the conversation.

Q: If the cover was 'withdrawn', does this mean it was released and then recalled? Usually in those situations a small but decent number of copies do make it into circulation. If it was just a promo mock-up cover that was rejected and thus never printed in quantity in the first place, that would make it much rarer.

While interesting, the album is so readily available and the variant is not major, so i can't see it as one that would excite a huge number of collectors. I do like the robot art better, though not enough to pay any premium for it myself

What did you eat today? Mushrooms?

This price is a "FDM-price" ...

Fortunately, the Avalon is only rare and not really good (IMO)
